At FlamingoSportswear, we’ve always been proud to provide dancers with the finest quality dance shoes, dresses, and accessories. Our mission has always been to support dancers to feel not only comfortable but also elegant and unique on and off the dance floor.
Recently, we’ve decided to extend our touch beyond the dance floor and into your everyday wardrobe, thanks to an unexpected inspiration – Julia, co-owner of FlamingoSportswear, and, more importantly, my wife.
A gifted dancer in her own right, Olga understands the art of movement and the importance of comfort and style in dance. What many may not know is her equally passionate love for another form of artistry – knitting. When not running FlamingoSportswear or practicing her dance routines, Olga can be found knitting needles in hand, engrossed in crafting sweaters, coats, and other beautiful pieces of clothing.
One day, after a long dance practice, she draped a knitted shawl around her shoulders. Looking at her reflection, she realized how her unique, handcrafted knitwear could complement a dancer’s lifestyle, extending the elegance and unique expression of dance into everyday wear. It was then the idea of Handcrafted Knits – Off-Stage Elegance was born.
Every piece in this new category is a reflection of Olga’s creativity, meticulous craftsmanship, and deep understanding of a dancer’s aesthetic.
